This course introduces the student to the TeleManagement Forum's "Lean Operator" paradigm. The streamlined approach to systems development using the Lifecycle and Methodology toolkit of NGOSS (New Generation Operations Systems and Software) is described. The frameworks that make up the NGOSS toolkit are also covered: eTOM (Enhanced Telecom Operations Map) as a way to define operational and strateic processes, Technology-Neutral Architecture, and the SID (Shared Information and Data Model) as a framework for streamlined. This course includes a 4-part workshop, giving the students an opportunity to work in teams on a real-life problem, and design solutions using the tools learned during the presentations. For "we-come-to-you" onsite courses, we design a workshop that deals with one of your company's own challenges, making this a real-life problem solving workshop.
